On the 30th anniversary of the release of the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik, the Red Hot Chili Peppers announced that they would embark on a worldwide tour in 2022. This will be RHCP's first such trip since John Frusciante returned to the team in 2019. Recently, producer Rick Rubin announced that the group is finishing work on a new album.
